Where is Skhvilo Castle?

Skhvilo Castle is located in Shida Kartli, on the high ridge, in Georgia (country).

It was built in the XIV century, but It’s presumed that the castle was here too early before.

The fortress complex includes:
10-14 meters high and 2 meters wide fence.
The main tower is on the north side and is located at a five-storied, entrance at 6 meters above the ground level.
The tower is located on the southern side and is smaller than the main tower.
The church is a two-storied, initially it was one-storey and then second church.
There are also residential, agricultural buildings and water reservoirs.

Several episodes of the Georgian artistic movie “Sherekilebi” are filmed in Skhvilo castle in 1973.
